    1. In Matthew 12: 31-32 the bible tells us that all manner of blasphemy shall be forgiven except against the Holy Ghost neither in this world or the world to come (para-phrasing). I understand that blasphemy against God the Father and Jesus Christ can be forgiven because we can be unsaved one day and accept the Lord Jesus Christ into our life after that. And because of this all of our sins have been washed away. However, I need some help with the Holy Ghost being the exception to this rule especially since God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost are one. I have many thoughts on why this could be, but do not have anything concrete to back up any of my assumptions. Please help.

Ok, I’ve done some research. I looked up the same scripture in “The Message” version of the bible and it seems to bring much clarity to my confusion.

Matthew 12:31-32 from “The Message” reads:
“There’s nothing done or said that can’t be forgiven. But if you deliberately persist in your slanders against God’s Spirit, you are repudiating the very One who forgives. If you reject the Son of Man out of some misunderstanding, the Holy Spirit can forgive you, but when you reject the Holy Spirit, you’re sawing off the branch on which you’re sitting, severing by your own perversity all connection with the One who forgives.”

Please advise if I am on the right track.

Thank you and see you tomorrow night!
